27th International QUENCH Workshop 27 - 29 September 2022*
Recent experimental and modeling results on reflood, high-temperature materials oxidation and interactions, and related problems were presented and discussed. We First results of the first QUENCH-ATF test in the framework of the OECD-NEA Joint Undertaking were presented. One session addressed modeling and code applications for integral QUENCH testing. As during our virtual workshop 2021 presented and discussed, the two major topics for the QUENCH team in the next few years will be 1) ATF cladding materials and 2) the behavior of Zry cladding tubes during long-term interim storage of fuel assemblies with the focus on the system Zr-H.
